Just when you thought you ran out of options for a fairly good Phildar supplier, I just happened to notice this cute little shop:

Aside from the Phildar and sewing machine stuff/repair, there's a nice selection of Aero/Inox/Chambly knitting needles, other knitting supplies, notions, and the man working was nice enough to commiserate with me on how heavy loonies and twonies can be in your coin purse. (I paid him in twonies, mostly--please don't ask why). There were some older Phildar pattern books, and currently they have (what's left of) their summer yarns marked 50% off. Best of all, it's diagonally located just northeast of the Lachine Market, so you can get your snack on, while you're there. There's a big parking lot across the street, on street parking (free), and the 195 Sherbrooke/Notre-Dame bus passes right by it, both directions. As if all that's not spectacular enough, there's a lovely new bench located just outside the door, so you can do some knitting as you wait for your ride. Or, go a few blocks south and do some scenic knitting-in-public on the lovely Lachine Canal.
